Dianne Owen - Chairperson
With over 10 years of experience working in the disability sector, Dianne developed a passion for assisting people living with a disability to lead meaningful lives within their communities. As Director of a NDIS Registered Disability Service provider, Dianne brings a wealth of knowledge regarding service provision standards, compliance and the importance of self-empowerment, choice and control for those living with disability.

Emily Howells – Deputy Chairperson
Emily is a registered nurse with over 8 years’ experience working in the community in hospitals, schools, and as a child health nurse. Emily has been volunteering and working within the disability sector for over a decade and is co-founder of Building Life Skills. She also has prior experience working on advisory committees for the Department of Health.

Bev Wotzko - Financial Manager
Bev is creative and exceptionally well-organised leader with substantial experience in administration, finance, management and direct service delivery in the community sector across disability, homelessness and FDV responses. Bev has over 20 years experience in the community sector. She is committed to social justice and attracted to purposeful work that serves to contribute the community such as that delivered by Building Life Skills and is excited to be part of this wonderful team. Her areas of interest are team and people development and continuous improvement of business practices.

Jodie Howells - Secretary
Jodie holds a degree in Sociology and has over 15 years’ experience in the private sector, bringing extensive audit and compliance experience to the Board. Jodie has worked on various Committees and Advisory Boards both in the private sector as well as Education. Jodie has two children with disability and strongly values the importance of living a fulfilled and independent life.

Dr. Rob Cameron
Rob is an Associate Lecturer and Researcher at the Australian Urban Design Research Centre at the University of Western Australia. His research and studio practice are heavily focused upon the design and production of equitable, environmentally sensitive, and socially just interfaces between the public and private realms.

Martin Piasecki
Bringing nearly 20 years’ experience to the Board, Martin has worked and managed within all aspects of both the Aged and Disability Care sectors. Martin shares a passion for providing those with disability the best care and inclusion within the community.

Lisa Wolfe
Lisa is a proud advocate for people with disabilities having worked as a support worker since 2015 and is also a parent of a person with disability. Lisa’s daughter is an energetic participant of the group and Lisa, actively partakes in the monthly market stall promoting the products and services provided.
As a parent of a person with a disability and working within the disability industry, Lisa sees the positive impact that the work Building Life Skills has on those that are involved.
